Karla earned her Master's degree in Counseling from Messiah University with a concentration in Marriage, Couple and Family Therapy and is currently working toward full licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
Rooted in her Christian faith, Karla approaches counseling with the belief that God is present in both the joys and suffering of life. Guided by Romans 8:28-29, she believes that God can bring purpose, healing and restoration even through painful experiences. Karla holds that while God grieves alongside His children, He also works to transform wounds into sources of hope and growth, if we are willing.
Karla enjoys working with clients as they explore how past wounds, traumas, and familiy-of-origin dynamics impact relationships. She supports clients in growing emotional awareness, communication, and personal responsibility. Her work is informed by Bowen Family Systems Theory and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), helping clients deepen insight and strengthen emotional connection.
Outside of her professional work, Karla enjoys hiking, skiing, and camping with her husband and loves hosting and bringing people together in meaningful ways.
