Paula graduated from Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL with an undergraduate in Theology and later went on to pursue her MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Throughout her career, she has worked with children who had a plethora of mental health diagnoses, children and families in the foster care system, and most recently has spent nine years living and working on college campuses as a Residence Director. Her desire is to help people restore hope in the midst of brokenness and meet people where they are to bring restoration.
Every journey is unique. At different points we all can use a helping hand to bring or restore hope. For over the last ten years, Paula has been working with children, adolescents, and young adults in the transitions of life in various roles. She is passionate about journeying with people as they find healthy and wellness.
As an individual who finds that holistic wellness can be the most beneficial approach to counseling, Paula desires to help clients find peace in the midst of life’s challenges. Whether an individual is facing stress, anxiety, depression, OCD, mood disorders, self-harm, career exploration, family difficulties, parenting challenges, or addiction, she hopes to walk alongside clients as they find wholeness. Her approach is humanistic, person-centered and mindfulness based, while drawing on techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and play therapy. Life is a journey and she finds it an honor to walk alongside clients to restore hope.
Paula is working towards a Pennsylvania counseling license to become an LPC, and is being supervised by a local professional. Paula sees clients in our Carlisle and Shrewsberry locations.
