Noelle Wells, MA

Noelle Wells is Chicago born and New England raised, hailing from the beautiful Midcoast region of Maine. She currently resides in Central PA with her husband and three children. She attended Moody Bible Institute graduating with a B.A. in Biblical Studies and Theology (2013). While initially intending to pursue the more academic end of theological studies, Noelle felt called to apply her knowledge of God to the care of souls, thus continuing her education at Westminster Theological Seminary in Glenside, PA graduating with a M.A. in Counseling in 2020.

As a Biblical Counselor, Noelle aims to keep Christ at the center of the therapeutic process with sanctification as a progressive (not a once and done event), as the goal. Noelle employs a person-centered approach integrating various evidence-based methods that best suit the individual counselee. Noelle understands the human person as an embodied soul made in the image of God. Therefore every spiritual problem has physiological components and every physiological issue will have spiritual consequences. As a biblical counselor, Noelle uses scripture in counseling, both implicitly and explicitly, in the way she understands the individual and their story in light of God’s revelation, the way she prays for and with the counselee, and in the therapeutic process itself. Noelle employs her biblical and theological training to help her, by God’s grace, rightly and appropriately apply God’s word to the counselee in a way that helps the counselee experience the transformative work of the gospel in the unfolding of their story told within the larger narrative of God’s story.

When she is not counseling, Noelle enjoys serving in her local church, amassing a large collection of books, and spending time with her family. Noelle is also a published poet and is often found writing and reading poetry and fiction.

Noelle works with individuals and couples helping them understand their story in light of God's story and apply the gospel to the complexities of their whole person, equipping them towards hope and change.
