Nicole Johndro
Communications & Development Director
Nicole has always had a strong desire to serve others from all walks of life believing everyone has a beautiful story to share. In college she volunteered and interned at many organizations serving a variety of populations. She served in inner-city Indianapolis meeting the after-school needs of the children in the local Hispanic community. Nicole also had the opportunity to travel to India for three weeks to serve at the Mother Teresa homes and with a social business, Sari Bari. She ultimately graduated summa cum laude from Indiana Wesleyan University with degrees in Social Work & Addictions Counseling.
After college, Nicole returned to Central Pennsylvania and began working with a few different organizations including Philhaven and Bethany Christian Services. Through both positions, she found herself gravitating toward administrative tasks, volunteer organization, fundraising & event planning, church and community outreach and overall organizational development. Nicole became aware that she could use a natural & unique skill set of both serving others and business acumen to grow organizations and meet the needs of the community. Nicole briefly worked with Executive Director, Jon, at a previous organization over 10 years ago and reconnected recently in order to assist in the growth of In Him Christian Wellness.
Outside of professional life, Nicole loves to be with her husband of ten years and their three young children. After living in Camp Hill for 5 years, the family moved back to her hometown of Elizabethtown. She has recently begun homeschooling and enjoys teaching her children a variety of subjects. Nicole loves making and drinking lattes with her espresso machine, baking, and bargain hunting! She loves exploring the outdoors with family and putting together puzzles with them on rainy days.
As she works toward coordinating events and workshops, Nicole hopes the message of Christ’s loving kindness, grace and salvation to all is highlighted more than anything else.
