Lemoyne
Kate Herr, LSW
Prior to working at In Him, Kate spent several years working with an organization that focused on helping individuals and families heal and break from intergenerational trauma. Through this work and as a counselor, she has learned the importance of relationship building as apart of the work, and prioritizes this in sessions. She strives to provide a safe, and non-judgmental space for clients to feel comfortable just as they are.
She is passionate about sharing the knowledge and tools she has gained so that her clients feel more empowered and equipped to take the steps they need to move forward in a healthier direction.
Kate has experience and feels comfortable with those who struggle with anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, loss, parenting, and trauma, and those who identify with the LGBTQ+ community.
She is also happy to incorporate faith and prayer into sessions but will always follow the clients lead in this.
In her free time, she can be found reading children’s books to her kids in various accents, making a mess in the kitchen, and consignment shopping.
Kate is passionate about equipping and empowering others with knowledge and tools so that they can take the steps they need to move forward in a healthier direction.
